While many of us animal lovers are familiar with Bean Bag, the rescue wombat, what we might not realize is that there are many other wombats with the same plight. All too often, mama wombats are killed in road accidents, or by hunters, and the babies are left behind to face impending doom.

Luckily, there are those warm hearted individuals who search long and hard to find the little wombats once they are alerted to their existence. Then, kind people nurse the sweet creatures back to health, or at least try their very best to do so.

We at the Beans Beans website have become aware of this since the naming of Bean Bag was mentioned in a news article. In our opinion Bean Bag was the absolute perfect name for the adorable survivor.
